RQM jUnit/Selenium Adapter

This adapter can be used to execute jUnit tests as well as Selenium WebDriver tests.

Execute JUnit test scenarios with Rational Quality Manager

When configuring correctly (see installation) the jUnit adapter is very easy to use.

Figure: A test script definition for a jUnit test from RQM. The Dog.jar is an Eclipse Export which contains the jUnit DogTest.

WARNING! Be aware that the dir command results in \ characters. In the properties file you use / . For all directories etc. It took me a day to figure that out.

Basically see the manual.

The critical steps:
  1. Get the selenium.properties right. Make not of the \ and / !
  2. Create a goAdapter
  3. Create a correct Test Script (with the Jars etc) and Test Case to run

A working version of the selenium.properties can be found here.

For easy starting of the adapter a goAdapter was created:

echo off
title goAdapter - RQM - jUnit Selenium adapter
rem set JAVA_HOME=C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre7\bin
rem set PATH=%PATH%;%JAVA_HOME%;
call setvars.cmd
rem Change to the RQMJUnitSeleniumAdapter Directory...
cd RQMJUnitSeleniumAdapter
if not exist "jars.txt" (
 echo *** This should be in the RQMJUnitSeleniumAdapter directory
 goto end
call start.bat -repository https://fibula5.vanlint5.nl:9443/qm -user cmduser -password cmduser -adapterName jUnit -projectArea "My BDD (Quality Management)"

echo Ending goAdapter

The setvars.cmd contains the following to have a single location for these:

set JAVA_HOME=C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre7
set PATH=%PATH%;%JAVA_HOME%\bin;
